Lost in web 2.0
October 9th, 2007. Published under General. 3 Comments.
I’m finally lost. As you see I update my blog very little these days. I really want to update it – but from the very beginning I tried to write about business issues. And one day I realized that:
- It’s hard to write only about business;
- I don’t want to write about business only.
It’s hard to change – but this is the only thing I’m left with. Otherwise I will not be able to continue force myself to write here. Maybe you have any ideas on how I can continue? What interests you in my blog? What would you want me to write about?
Also I have problems with all these social networks and web 2.0. Currently I’m registered in:
1. LinkedIn
2. Facebook
3-4. Two more Russia facebook-like sites (actually there are even 3 of these)
5. Livejournal
6. This blog
+ I write in corporate blog and Empatika blog (system thinking project of ours).
It seems like I need to make a choice, but it’s so hard to make…
Guys – please comment! I really want to know your opinion about all this stuff.

It’s hard to keep up with all those web 2.0 & networking sites and a blog that is supposed to discuss business matters only. I face the same problem too… I update my blog (which is about marketing & business too) very seldom. I think that the only way not to get dissapointed and abondon everything is to set weekly goals like 2 posts (e.g. 1 post every Sunday and 1 every Wednesday, etc.).
As regards the issue of writing only about your blog’s topic or writing freely on whatever topic you want, I propose you to do the latter; I used to create different blogs for dicsussing different topics and I realised that I made a big mistake: I couldn’t keep them updated as you can easily guess and I came to the conclusion that if I had been posting all these thoughts on the same blog I would have created a much better blog in terms of readership and post consistency (even if the posts were not very relevant).
