I heard Csikszentmihalyi lecture last summer at Iowa State University – very good and well worth reading.

I usually answer “what do I really want?” with a ramble like this:

I want to get paid for reading, thinking, creating, traveling, meeting new people in new places, passionately communicating truth, helping people and their businesses succeed not just at making a profit but at making the world better..

And that is pretty much what I do these days.

But I had to start my own firm, the White Rabbit Group, to get there.

For me, the answer to this question depends on situation. But, I think what I like is when I forget about time, about anything else, & focus on something important & pleasant! It is when you ENJOY spending your time!

American psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi defines the state in which people are so involved in an activity, that nothing else seems matter, as a “flow”. I think this is it. Check out his book about “flow” or an article on e-xecutive. I haven’t read the book (http://www.amazon.com/Flow-Mihaly-Csikszentmihalyi/dp/0712657592/sr=8-4/qid=1169457060/ref=pd_bbs_4/103-3903011-4956648?ie=UTF8&s=books) , but have read the article.
