Presentations

Being a reader of Prezentation Zen, I’m trying to find new ways to express my thought, to show information. But when I open Powerpoint i feel sucked. At lease in the last 2007 Office they have a nice interface. But it’s still so difficult to do a really fantastic presentation there! I’ve tried to search any alternative software – but Power Point is still the only one. Maybe I’m wrong? What programs do you use for making presentations?

Also want to share with you this link http://www.ownyourbrand.com/ by Mike Wagner.

Dmitry – thank you very much for the link.

I am sure you will figure out PowerPoint but the most important thing is telling your message in a manner that is true to who you are.

Glad to see you are a reader of Presentation Zen – it’s a great blog with lots of good wisdom.

I use PowePoint because it is an expectation that most people have at my meetings. But I use lots of pictures, very few words – mostly great statements that make the point.

Good to read your thoughts – thanks for enlarging the conversation via your blog!

Keep creating,
Mike

Mike – thanks for the comment.

I get your point about the presentation – I also trying to do use it like you said. But for example – you saw Steve Jobs presentation of iPhone? You saw that nice text appearing on the backstage? Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO9wrr3v7es

This is what I am searching – an ease way to do such nice, neat and powerfull animation. And of course the program has to be simple enough – because if you have time you can ask a designer to do it on Adobe Flash.

Well, why don’t you switch to Mac OS and use KeyNote, huh?:) I bet this is what Steve is using. KeyNote has nice effects, I’ve recently bought Mac and really like it! But, as Mike said, the expectation is that we use PowerPoint, aaaand, I haven’t found how to plug-in projector to my Mac :(
