I think that's a great topic. I've met many people who have had serious trouble with searching for good resources on the internet. I've found using 'smart' and 'relevant' terms in the search bar as the best method. Sometimes, I've found that using a different search engine may also provide interesting results. In any case, it all boils down to what you provide the search engine with. If what you've entered results in irrelevant material, take the hint and try something different; you may even try using a different spelling.

I totally agree with you. Searching is definitely a matter of practice and experience. I found myself constantly improving my searches by learning how to use more smart ways to search, better and more efficient keywords, more accurate search terms, etc., as time went by. I firmly believe that experience can help you predict in a way, what you will get when searching in a particular way.
Another excellent site to search is wikipedia.
